Well cruise ships often have a huge range of different restaurants on board and will frequently change their menus to match the current location of the ship. Make the most of having some world class chefs all in the same place by trying out food from all the eateries.
• Swim. The majority of boats have more than one pool on board where you can have a splash about, swim some lengths or sunbath on a lilo. As there is nothing around to block the suns rays, you can enjoy the sun all day long. • Bar. There will be a number of different bars all over the ship and some luxury Cruises are all inclusive, so there is no excuse not to sample some liquid delights. Get them to suggest their favourite tipple or ask for something traditional to a country you are visiting and they will amaze you with their cocktail making skills.
• Shows. You are almost guaranteed to find something you like from the wide range of quality performances that cruise ships put on. They will be something for everyone and there are some acts that you cannot see anywhere else. Ask the staff around the ship for their recommendations and luxury cruise stories They have more than likely watched the shows a good number of times so will have the best advice around.
Just a couple of movies made on ships
Although many films based on cruise ships were filmed on sets some were filmed on the ships themselves. These are just a few that are recommended to you before you go on a luxury cruise
Titanic
This has to be the biggest film that is based on a ship. It is also one of the biggest money earners of all time bringing in a massive .8 Billion. 0 million is how much the film cost to make, which in turn made it the highest costing film for that time. Two fictional people are at the centre of this movie. There are a few characters in the film that did actually exist so it is part historic part fiction.
Speed 2
This was actually a box office disaster as many of the films original actors did not return to make the sequel. Keanu Reeves really felt that the script was awful so did not actually return. The villan of the previous one did also not want to return. It really shows as the majority of the film is very poor indeed. You have to watch this film because it has such a good ending.
One of Comedy’s Best- Carry On Crusing
The Carry On series is huge and this is just one of those films. This was the first in the franchise to be fimed in colour. It is on the list simply because it is my favourite film in the entire series and needed to be here because the whole of the film is set on a cruise ship.
So whether you are on your way to one of those cunard cruises or even a Silversea cruises make sure you check out these films first. Thinking about it, these films all spell diaster for cruise ships but do not worry as they are just movies right?
Crusing seems to be on the increase
Even in the depression it would seem that some businesses are doing really well and luxury cruises certainly seems to be one of them.
A 5% increase is what has happened to cruising holidays, how? Cruises, the better ones anyway, are not cheap and with people taking pay cuts and other such things how on earth are they affording to go on wonderful cruises to anywhere in the world?
People do seem to be saving a lot more. How come so many people will choose to save for a cruise.
A major reason is the ship has so many things to do that you can almost fit several other holidays within it. The thing is with these ships they have so much on offer such as gyms, brilliant dining, dinner shows and of course swimming pools.l. To be able to fit all of this in one place is certainly brilliant. But with the depression effecting people this year does it look good for next year’s figures?
Well it would seem so with another massive increase next year set to come in at 6.5%. This is partly due to all of the brand new cruise ships currently coming into the equation next year. The prices seem to be a lot better than they used to be. There are just so many deals out there for people to choose from. Due to all of these new companies starting up with new cruise ships it would seem the prices are going to decrease even further in the next few years. So now is the time to look for a cruise holiday, they are also very relaxing as you are free to do whatever you want, check out the pool, hit the gym or just relax in your cabin.
Of course the percentage increase is just estimation and we might not see as many people taking river cruises as well as cunard cruises like we first thought, however all we can really do is wait it out.
