Carnival Glory one of our Favorite ships.
My wife and I have personally cruised on this ship and it is simply amazing. We got upgraded from a balcony to a suite at no charge to make the trip even more remarkable. Carnival Glory is a 2004 addition to an exciting style of “Fun Ships”–the Conquest class. The ship’s revolutionary design means that 80 percent of the staterooms offer glorious ocean views; and of those, 80 percent have private balconies. Plus, with acres of teak deck space, you’ll find the ideal spot to enjoy the fresh sea air and soothing sunshine. Inside Cabins as low as $349 per person and balconies are $559.We actually left out of Port Canaveral when the Glory was ported that. Port Canaveral is a very good port and if you get a chance you should visit Cocoa Beach. We visited Nassau first and took in Atlantis Resort and Casino. Very nice place , but unless you are staying at the hotel you are limited to activities at the resort. Our next stop was St. Thomas. We took our own taxi ($10 for both of us each way) and visited Coki Beach. Amazing snokerling at this beach. Buy some dog biscuits from the vendors there and watch the hundreds off fish gather around. We then ported at St. Martin. We also took our own taxi there for the same price and visited Dawn beach. Snorkeling was okay, but the ocean and beach were amazing. We also ate some good BBQ ribs there.
After a full day of fun, enjoy an elegant meal in the Empire Restaurant or relax with casual dinner in La Playa Grille. You many even want to celebrate a special night out in the intimate Nouveau Supper Club. As part of the spa program, the ship also offers dishes that are low in calories, fat, sodium, and cholesterol.
For nighttime entertainment, Carnival Glory brings a bit of Vegas to the sea–catch a spectacular show in Pharaoh’s Palace. Or visit the 22 bars and lounges throughout the ship, including the sing-along Shanghai Piano Bar, the jazzy Club Cool, and the sports fan’s favorite, the Champion’s Bar. Feeling lucky? You might win big at Louis XIV Casino, one of the largest at sea. Dancers will love the club Dancin’, where music plays into the wee hours.
